Sunpack WEPACK Exploratory Tour in KSA

On the WEPACK-organized exploratoey tour deep into the Eurasian market, SUNPACK participated in visits to leading corrugated industry enterprises in Saudi Arabia. The delegation, which included representatives from the China Corrugated Association and other packaging machinery manufacturers, arrived in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, to collectively experience the development pulse of the Eurasian packaging market and actively explore opportunities to build high-quality cooperative bridges.

Now, let’s follow the lens to review this fruitful and rewarding exploration journey.

On the evening of October 25th 2025, after the delegation arrived in Riyadh, a welcome dinner brimming with Saudi national charm officially kicked off the itinerary. WEPACK invited local carton factory executives and industry elites to gather, creating a relaxed and open exchange platform for Chinese and international enterprises.

In the rich cultural atmosphere, representatives from all sides engaged in enthusiastic conversations and open discussions, quickly establishing friendly and mutually trusting relationships, laying a solid foundation for subsequent in-depth visits and cooperation.

On the first day of the tour, the team visited the locally top-five renowned enterprise AI Medan. The factory representatives warmly received the delegation and generously shared the latest trends and market insights into Saudi Arabia’s packaging industry, leaving the team greatly inspired. Subsequently, the delegation also visited other significant local packaging companies such as TOPPACK and AIHIJAZ.

Each visit served as an in-depth dialogue and a genuine grasp of local production processes, technology applications, and customer needs, accumulating valuable first-hand information for understanding the regional market landscape.

The highlight of this journey was the visit to Saudi Arabia’s largest unmanned carton and paperboard production enterprise—United Carton Industries Co. (UCIC).

Through this on-site inspection of the leading corrugated paperboard and carton manufacturer, the delegation gained a more intuitive understanding of its production scale, level of automation, and innovative business models. UCIC’s practices in intelligent manufacturing and sustainable production not only provided key references for assessing the market potential of Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East region but also injected new inspiration and direction for SUNPACK’s future adjustments and expansions in product optimization, technical collaboration, and market strategies.

This trip to Saudi Arabia not only deepened our understanding of the dynamics of the Eurasian packaging market but also established practical communication channels for cooperation between Chinese and international enterprises. SUNPACK will continue to collaborate with industry partners to jointly promote the synergistic development and innovative of the global packaging industry chain.
