2025 Heart-to-Heart Connections on the Silk Road
In the “Heart-to-Heart Connections on the Silk Road” series of events, the Wenzhou Blazing Youth Federation, as a representative Chinese non-governmental organization, actively participated in friendly people-to-people exchanges between China and Cyprus as well as China and Bulgaria. This showcased the high-energy and warm international public service image of Chinese youth in the new era. The following are the specific contributions of Ms. Lin Weiwei, General Manager of Shanghai Zhaotian and Executive President of the Blazing Youth Federation, in the project.

The Blazing Youth Federation, guided by the motto “Be High-Energy and Warm-hearted Youth,” is composed of young people from Wenzhou, overseas students, and volunteers from the Chinese diaspora. Its operational model reflects the deep integration of “people-to-people diplomacy” and “international public service,” conveying the sense of responsibility and warmth of Chinese youth through cross-cultural collaboration.

During the events, the Blazing Youth Federation signed cooperation agreements with partners in Bulgaria, focusing on areas such as volunteer services, youth exchanges, and public health collaboration. This initiative builds upon their experience in international assistance during the pandemic, aiming to systematically promote the Chinese youth public service model to countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.

On-site cultural experience activities, including painting, music, calligraphy, traditional Chinese medicine, and traditional costumes, allowed international friends to personally experience the unique charm of Chinese culture.

Representatives of the Blazing Youth Federation also showcased Chinese paintings and calligraphy works to non-governmental organizations and the public in Cyprus and Bulgaria.

Performances of intangible cultural heritage, such as traditional Chinese attire, Sichuan rope weaving, and face-changing, offered immersive experiences of the diverse charm of Chinese culture to the people of Cyprus and Bulgaria.

An AI-generated video, themed “Wang Zhaojun Hand in Hand with Venus,” highlighted the shared perception of beauty and the common aspiration for a better life between the East and the West throughout history.

The events attracted representatives from government agencies, universities, non-governmental organizations, and enterprises from both countries. Chinese enterprises, aligning with national strategic directions, leveraged these national-level platforms to enhance their brand authority. Through exchanges with local enterprises, they explored new markets and opportunities.

The participation of the Blazing Youth Federation in these events was not merely an institutional showcase but also a microcosm of Chinese non-governmental public service participating in global governance. Its “high-energy and warm” characteristics echo the historical warmth of the Silk Road while injecting the vitality of youth innovation into the new era. This provides a replicable youth-oriented solution for people-to-people cooperation among countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.
