Chasing Joy Across Yunnan, Uniting for a New Journey
As Christmas and the New Year approached, we from the Sunpack Foreign Trade Department had already packed our luggage and expectations. This farewell journey through Yunnan, from Dali to Xishuangbanna, was not only a reward for our relentless efforts in navigating international markets and clinching countless tough orders throughout the year, but also a chance to gather strength and unity for the upcoming new journey.
Now, let’s follow the lens to review this joyful and warm journey. As said, youth has no price tag; joy is here and now.

First Stop: Dali — Team Bonding Amid Romance and Scenery.
Upon arriving in Dali, early in the morning, mist lingered over Erhai Lake like a thin veil. Gradually, the sunlight dispersed the fog, and everything became bright and clear. We rented electric scooters and rode slowly along the lakeside road. The breeze, carrying the fresh scent of plants and grass, brushed against our faces, and the air was filled with the continuous laughter of our colleagues.

As evening fell, red lanterns lit up the ancient town one by one. We gathered in the flagstone paths of Ancient City at the central square, experience the unique goods and delicacies of the ancient cities in Yunnan.

Second Stop: Lijiang — Slow Time and Team Cohesion at the Foot of Snowy Mountains
Traveling north from Dali, we reached Lijiang. The first sight of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, its majestic peaks blanketed in glistening snow against a clear blue sky, left everyone in awe of nature’s extraordinary craftsmanship. We took a cable car up the mountain, and as the altitude rose, we arrived at the foot of the sacred mountain.

We climbed and hiked along the cloud-shrouded plank roads. When we encountered steep sections, everyone supported and encouraged each other, just as we had done with remarkable synergy when tackling tough foreign trade challenges throughout the year.

Third Stop: Shangri-La — Spiritual Enlightenment and Mutual Support in a Hidden Paradise
Shangri-La, meaning “the sun and moon in one’s heart”, is a place closest to the sky and a hidden paradise that calms the soul. We visited Prayer Wheel at Dukezong Ancient Town, we felt the solemnity and sacredness of Tibetan Buddhism, calming our minds as we listened to the recitation of scriptures, as if our souls had been purified and enlightened.

Fourth Stop: Xishuangbanna — Year-End Celebration and New Year Gala Amid Tropical Charm
Leaving the snow-capped plateau behind, we stepped into Xishuangbanna, a tropical paradise where warmth and vitality instantly ignited our enthusiasm. Here, we found lush tropical rainforests, adorable elephants, colorful ethnic costumes, and an array of mouthwatering tropical fruits and local delicacies.

We explored the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, wandering among exotic flowers and rare plants, marveling at the wonders and gifts of nature. At the Wild Elephant Valley, we got up close and personal with elephants — feeding and interacting with them, experiencing the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
